My sympathy goes to Dan and his family. Leah has always been very kind to me and Linda. May God keep and comfort you during this time.

To my family—Dan Whitehead Sr., Dan Jr., and sweet Jamie,
Love and blessings from Los Angeles, California. There are few words that can truly bring comfort during a time of such deep transition. As I reflect on the many cherished memories from our Richardson Family Reunions—those days spent with Pa Bruce, Grandma Florence, and all of you—I’m reminded of how much I looked up to each of you, and of the beautiful soul that cousin Leah always was.
It’s been far too long since I’ve seen you, wrapped you in a hug, and told you how much you have meant—and still mean—to me. Please know that I am holding you close in prayer, grateful that you have one another through this time.
I love you dearly and truly hope to see you at the reunion next year. All praises be to God—Leah is now reunited with her mother and our many loving ancestors who welcomed her home. Many thanks to Richardson’s Funeral Home who has taken care of so many of our loved ones.

Dan and family, we all have a purpose in life, and Leah’s was being the sweet and gentle spirit God blessed her with. We will miss her beautiful smile, her soft voice and the love she shared with her family and friends. We love you all.

To Jamie….hold fast to the memories of your beautiful Mother and your time well spent. May God’s unfailing love and her legacy sustain you in the days and nights to come. Thank you so much for sharing her with me!! She deeply touched me in the times I visited. There are things in this world that can be taken away….then there are things that cannot be touched. Your Mother’s beautiful spirit is untouchable. There are no words to express my gratitude for the privilege and honor of being an her presence. To experience that beauty for myself…and that, My Friend, is forever etched in my heart…untouched. I love you, Mrs. Leah….here’s to you:
Don’t play that song for me
‘Cause it brings back memories
Of days that I once knew
The days that I spent with you
Oh no, don’t let ’em play it (oh no)
It fills my heart with pain (it hurts)
Please, stop it right away
‘Cause I remember just what he said
He said: “darling…” (darlin’ I, I love you)
And I know that he lied (oh, he lied)
You know that you lied (oh, he lied)
You know that you lied, lied, you lied (to me)…..
My sincere condolences to the entire Boone/Whitehead Families.
