Funeral services for Shirley-Jean Delois “Lois” Newell, age 74, who died on Saturday, August 2, 2025, will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Anthony Alston, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Chapel Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Tilwanda Newell-Dunston (Tyrone) of Bunn, NC, Stacey Newell-Carmody (Kevin) of Wake Forest, NC; three sisters, Catherine Gupton (Thurman) of Louisburg, NC, Jerfene Newell of Raleigh, NC, Geraldine Newell of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Cornelius Wayne Newell, Sr. (Milltrene) of Louisburg, NC, Eugene Newell (Joyce) of Winston Salem, NC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
