Funeral services for Althea Cyrus, age 77, who died on October 19, 2026, will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Msgt. Douglas Cyrus of the home; two daughters, Donna Hairston of Newport News, VA, Theresa Tellez (Tony) of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Christopher Cyrus (Ericka) of Newport News, VA, Michael Cyrus (Doris) of Chester, VA; three sisters, Portia Johnson and Debra Love, both of Albany, GA, Sherry Jackson of Rentz, GA; three brothers, Dwight Sizer (Maurice) of Dublin, GA, Jerome Sizer (Bertha) and Anthony Sizer (Evelyn), both of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
