Funeral services for Gracie Mae “Ray” Wright Branch, age 101, who died on Monday, February 23, 2026, will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Haywood Church Cemetery.
She is survived by ten children, five daughters, Joyce Crawley, Debra Alexander, Lizzie Mae Bood, Alberta Branch, Beatrice Kearney (Wayne); and five sons, Curtis Wright, Melvin Wright (Mattie), Wilbert Wright (Bettie), Levon Wright (Penny) and Joel Branch (Clara), all of Louisburg, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
