Funeral services for Idella Tyson, age 87, who died on Friday, July 17, 2026, will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC. Burial will follow in the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters, Trumilla Hargrove of East Orange, NJ, “Vee” Jones (Quincy) of Wake Forest, NC, Mary Powell (Clarence) and Kelly Vick (Stewart) of Raleigh, NC, Catherine Miller and Edith Johnson (Johnnie) of Bowie, MD, and Barbara Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD, brother, Rufus Alston of Wake Forest, NC, and a host of family members and friends.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:30am until 11:00am at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest, NC.
