Funeral services for James E. Edgerton, age 82, who died on Thursday, September 3, 2026, will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Castalia, NC, with Rev. Dean Jones presiding. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Kerlene Edgerton of Hollister, NC, and sister, Lillie Basket of Louisburg, NC.
Visitation will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home chapel in Louisburg, NC on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..
