Funeral services for Janet McCowan Harris, age 81, who died on Friday, August 8, 2025, will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Youngsville. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry and Valeria; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2015 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Harris. I remember her for what she did for me when I was in divinity school as she encouraged me to get all the education I could. She knew I would be blessed by doing so. She will truly be missed. Be blessed family.
