Funeral services for Mattie B. Richardson, age 78, who died on Monday, June 22, 2026, will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:00pm from the St. Paul Baptist Church in Warrenton, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Richardson of the home, three sons, Bobby Lynn Richardson of Oxford, NC, Sheldon Richardson (Angela) of Nashville, NC and Troy Richardson of Macon, NC, one sister, Minnie Richardson of Littleton, NC, three brothers, Zollie Richardson of Bethlehem, NC, Joe Richardson (Earlene) of Arcola, NC and Claude Richardson of Warrenton, NC, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing Monday, June 29, 2026 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at St. Paul Baptist Church in Warrenton, NC.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Mrs. Mattie. She will be greatly missed. I will miss her Facebook comments and our inbox recipe exchanges. She was a pillar of her family and showed so much love to the many children she cared for over the years. And of course, she never met a pocketbook and a good sale that she didn’t love.

Ma we shared 21 years and your advise and prayers with the Lord over me as a child has gotten into rooms that have upgraded lifestyles and turned me into a woman. You’ve fed me, bathed me, brushed and polished my hair, given me the emotional strength to keep going in my darkest moments. Even as an adult I still made the choice of waking up at least one Sunday morning and making it to Saint Paul Baptist Church to sit beside my granny. I love you so much you will truly be missed.
