He is survived by three sons, Rakim Alston, David Alston, and Perry Alston all of New Jersey, two sisters, Saddie Smith of Henderson, NC and Clementine Alston of New Jersey, two brothers, Raymond Alston of Louisburg, NC and Peter Alston of New Jersey, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
