Funeral services for Nora “Pigeon” Alston Ruffin, age 93, who died on Saturday, August 23, 2025, will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Hebron United Holiness Church in Louisburg with Bishop Allen Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery on the Hill.
She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Rodwell of Louisburg, NC, Gloria Cannady of Wake Forest, NC; one son, Alfonza Ruffin of Louisburg, NC; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

We met Mother Ruffin years ago and She was a beautiful woman of God who believed in givingGod all the Glory, Honor and praise!! She was very nice,outgoing and always talked about Jesus!! I’ll never forget when She came to our home and blessed us with some sweet potato pies just because She love to see people Happy. She believed in being a blessing to anyone She came into contact with and She truly loved her family and friends. We will continue to lift Her family up in our thoughts & Prayers.
