Rev. John Williams

Funeral services for Rev. John Williams, age 83, who died on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Gillfield Missionary Baptist Church in Castalia with Pastor Melvin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillfield Church Cemetery.

 

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Gray Williams of the home; two sons, John Anthony Williams of Nashville, NC, Danny Ray Williams of Butner, NC; one sister Queen Esther Wiggins of Louisburg, NC; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

    To Sis. Lucy and the family of Rev. John Williams, please accept our deepest condolences with the passing of a great Man of God who fathered Lettuce Hall Baptist Church for almost 20 years.
