Funeral services for Sandra Whitaker Edwards, age 64, who died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 1:00p.m. from the Pittman Grove Baptist Church in Battleboro, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Earl Edwards of the home, two sons, Seneca McArthur Edwards of Minnesota, Richard Earl Edwards of the home, one daughter, Nyana Edwards Whitaker (Rakeem) of Yorktown, VA.
There will be a viewing Monday, August 31, 2026 from 12:00 until 1:00p.m. at Pittman Grove Baptist Church.

LORD we ask that you strengthen the Edwards Whitaker Brake Family because this is a tough one for all the families that are connected. I will truly miss my cousin she’s/was the oldest among the girl cousins She would always try her best to keep her 3 Aunts together celebrating even if it was just a cup of coffee and sausage biscuits and I really appreciated that. Sandra was a kind and caring cousin. I am double related to her on both sides of the family. It was good seeing her in June 2023 when she drove to Wadesboro to visit me. I remember telling Sandra whenever I would talk with her on the phone that she had the nicest quality and tone in her voice. I once told her that she sounded like she could be on the radio. Of course, she just laughed. Such a great memory! My deepest sympathy and prayers for the entire family.
