Funeral services for Towanda R. Bobbitt, age 62, who died on Thursday, January 8, 2026, will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mitchner’s Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC. Burial will follow in the Mitchner’s Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving eldest sister, Helen Stevens of Mableton, Georgia; two devoted aunts, Betty Smith of Roselle, New Jersey, and Martha Woods (Clarence) of Franklinton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews.

Towanda , TB, as I would affectionately call her at work. I worked with her well over 15 years and in that time grew to know and love her. She would give you the shirt off her back , and honestly she has done that for me a time or two .If I said Towanda, I like that shirt…. Ok hold on ,in her Jersey accent , it’s yours! I enjoyed our years working together. You will be missed!

Towanda “Jumping Bobbitt” was such a loving friend and a joy to be around. Her smile was infectious. I still remember when she was in the MG Inspirational Voices and would sing her song, “Marvelous” by Walter Hawkins. Those were the good old days. Friend you will truly be missed.
