Mr. Walter was a very gifted and talented man. He could make the piano walk when he played. I absolutely enjoyed listening to him sing. Growing up, he and Ms. Lenora would come to St. Paul Baptist Church in Warrenton to sing on various programs. When they’d walk through the door I couldn’t wait to get my hugs and I was eager to watch him play the piano. I too love the piano but I can’t play it like him. LOL! One of the last times I got to see him was when I came to Louisburg and stopped at Bojangles, there was a man sitting near the drive through but I couldn’t get a good look until I pulled up, once we recognized each other he and I both lit up like Christmas trees. It’s the simple things that mean the most yet we tend to take them for granted. May you find comfort and strength in the days ahead. Sending prayer to the family and Shocco Chapel Church families at well. With love from Pamela R. Silver, Deacon Nathaniel & Dellie Richardson and the St. Paul Baptist Church family.
