Funeral services for William Edward Alston, age 68, who died on Saturday, September 19, 2026, will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Franklinton, NC, with Bishop Tony Long presiding. Burial will follow in the Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Lynn Parham (Roscoe) of Oxford, NC, Sherry Harris Osagie (Lyobosa) of Browns Summit, NC, Valeria Harris Atwater (Chris) of Greensboro, NC, brothers, Bennie T. “Tom” Alston of Jamaica, NY, Elliott McCoy Alston (Birtha) of Wake Forest, NC, Kenneth Green (Audrey) of Oakland, CA, Larry Green of Fresno, CA, and Jerome Hawkins (Clara) of Youngsville, NC, along with a host of relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held at the Richardson Funeral Home chapel in Louisburg, NC, on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
